What is
the Gospel?

"Therefore, having been justified by faith,

we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Romans 5v1

The Gospel is the amazing good news of salvation. We live in a world that is broken, with little hope and no true lasting peace. We all started life in the same state, going day to day without any hope of a future, lost in sin and the wrong in our lives. Many of us have tried to "do our best" with an optimistic view that this will be enough.

The Bible says "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved" (Acts 16v31).

God could never ask us to work our way to heaven, for we all know that we would fail to meet His perfect standard. That is why He sent His Son, the Lord Jesus, into the world to live a perfect life and die to take the punishment for our sins. He not only died, but rose again from the dead 3 days later to show he had conquered death! And now sits at the right hand of His Father in heaven, waiting to bring home all those who trust in Him.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord"

Romans 6v23

We do not know what tomorrow will bring. This urgency requires that you make a decision today, will you trust in Christ and accept Him as your Saviour, turning away from the wrong you have done? Or will you continue to reject God's grace and live in your own strength, with no peace for eternity. "Now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation.2 Corinthians 6v2

The Gospel is a simple message, for everyone everywhere. If you have never heard it, please do come along! Bring your questions and we will help you find your answers in the Bible

Prayer and Bible Reading

Tuesdays at 7:30 pm

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3v16-17

We meet together for a short time of prayer, followed by a Bible study, usually going through a book in the Bible. Contact us to find out what passage we will be reading.
